Saving the world from assholes dressed like a sofa is hard work, and even heroes need to let loose. What better time than the festive season? So what if you're in a world where Christianity isn't a thing! It's time to don your ugliest Christmas sweater, put on your dancing shoes, and tell those around you just how much you love tolerate them. Dance, sing, bone down on the couch, get so drunk on eggnog you puke on the carpet -- Aranea doesn't care, she's way too smart to do his in her own damn house! GET TO PARTYING.

[ There are some people here who look very refined in their festive attire. Gladio didn't even bother trying to be one of them, because this was supposed to be a party and he'd rather be comfortable. So here he is, in denims and an ugly Christmas sweater he'd picked up somewhere that he can't even remember. He's not even sure what it's supposed to be, but as he'd seen the way it made a certain overly-dignified companion twitch when he walked in, he counted what effort he had put into it well worth it. The furry santa hat atop his head was the final touch.

He's in high spirits for the evening, always enjoying a party and the chance to kick back and catch up with people, never shy about starting up a random conversation with friend or stranger alike. He's got a can of beer in his hand for most of the night, preferring the holiday ales to the sparkly stuff and is quite content to poke his nose into pretty much everyone's business while he's here. ]

[Ignis sighs heavily as he and Gladio gravitate towards one another, one hand carefully balancing his drink while he lifts the other to rest his index and middle fingers against his forehead.

[ Gladio's smirk just widens. ]

[ Gladio snorts at the reference, still looking bemused. ]

Which means you'll really be outnumbered when we're all supposed to match.

[He sighs once more, making sure to sound extra put-upon.]

[ Despite Ignis' tone, Gladio knows it not entirely genuine, no matter how much the other man might play at it. Which is why his smile stays playful and easy and relaxed. ]

Besides. Even you need to loosen up every once in a while.

[Gladio knew that better than most, given how much less guarded Ignis tended to be around his friends. Still, he finally cracks a genuine smile, all trace of his mostly feigned disapproval vanishing.]

Now that you're here, can I interest you in a drink?

[ ... it's really hard to miss gladio, especially in that get up. so! noctis makes his way on over, edging up behind him to nudge him playfully in the side. ]

I think this is probably the most clothing I've ever seen you wear. [ normally gladio is always taking off layers, not adding them. ]

[ Gladio offers this with mock defensiveness, even if the sleeves of said sweater are already pushed up his arms, revealing the dark shadows of his tattoos. ]

Besides, it's a Christmas party. You're supposed to dress up all festive. Not look like you're attending a funeral. Here. [ He plucks the santa hat off the top of his head and deftly plunks it down on Noct's instead. ] You need this more than I do.

Yeah, right. [ with a snort. ] Like you wouldn't --

[ but the rest of his sass is swiftly interrupted when gladio decides to help out his wardrobe, startled by the sudden addition of a santa hat. ]

Wh -- hey! [ swatting at him half-heartedly. ] Watch the hair!

I'd ask if it was gonna do tricks, but as it belongs to you, I suppose that's always a possibility. [ Gladio smirks down at the prince, dodging the half-hearted swat with ease and chuckling when Noctis doesn't even bother trying to take the hat off. ] At least it makes you a little more colorful.

[ ... listen. he's not bothering to take the hat off because he knows gladio will only cram it back down on his head again at the next possible opportunity. so! he's accepting his fate with dignity, thanks. ]

Never realized you had an eye for fashion. [ time to arch an eyebrow at him, mouth threatening to turn up into a grin. ] Gonna make changes to the Crownsguard uniforms, next?

[ Apparently there can be a first time for everything. Noctis being dignified? What. ]

Maybe. But they'd be pretty hard to improve upon in my opinion. I like how they are already. If it's not like to your liking though, we can see about adding some color. Or fur. Maybe a bell, so we can keep track of you? Ignis might appreciate that.

Didn't say you were, but I figured you'd be more offended by the suggestion of a leash.

[ Gladio's grin is smug as he stays leaned over the Prince, content with where he's got him. And he has time to take advantage of that still, he's in no rush. Noct still hasn't noticed, after all. ]

[ nudging gladio slightly with an elbow. ] All Ignis has to do is give you a double heaping of Behemoth steaks, and you start snoring beside the campfire.
